NES Controller Case?

I've put my spare NES controllers into UGC's recently and thought they looked fantastic. Almost as if they were modeled to fit!

As a result, I wanted to make a custom label so it would fit in. All attempts to find decent pictures / scans were met with failure.

Due to the lack of decent quality/resolution pictures, I had to re-create the picture on the back of the box in a "usable" form. While not perfect to the original, it's as close as I can get on a quick and easy effort.

As far as I am concerned, this is now complete and I am releasing it to you for use.

Managed to find a legible picture on eBay, so I was able to update it and do some tweaks. The picture on the back is a placeholder.

I'd like to use the original art, but I imagine it's going to be terrible in a scan due to color saturation and age, so I'm probably going to use different art (not a HUGE deal since I don't think NES controllers were sold in singles, so this is already custom).

Any suggestions on what art to use? I don't like having too much empty space. It could be one long vertical image like shown here, or two images of the same proportions spaced apart. That's really all that's holding me up at this point.

I'll release the final result as well as a PSD in my Mediafire account when complete. I don't think TCP has a section for stuff like this, so people will most likely have to hunt this down on the forums in the future.

I'm considering this done, as it now fits my needs and looks decent enough to me.

Due to lack of quality art for the back, I've recreated the original (or attempted to) using my own controller and such. Ignore my gigantic thumbs! Lots of button mashing!

PSD is available to anyone who wants to enhance it in the future.

Looks real good! I like covers for NES and SNES controllers.  My plan (eventually) is to have some wireless ones and outfit the UGCs with foam padding that will hold the controller and the receiver and then cover it with something like this.

I (unfortunately) don't own an NES Max, so I did not create one for it. Will it fit in the UGC with the cord?

And once you mod the UGC by hollowing it out the controller w/ cord fits not problem

Accessory storage is always a conundrum. I hate just throwing stuff into a storage bin, and drawer space is a premium for me. I'll have to try this, thanks.

Thanks for spotting the mistake. Corrected and uploaded fixed copies.

I've also thought about switching the kid and the text next to it with the NES Max labeling/controller. Not sure on that myself, but I think it might flow better.

Went ahead and made the swapped version. I like it more. Might have to get a couple of these controllers just to use the cover.
