Okay, so I gots me a scanner.

And I've spent some time scanning and uploading RAWs for y'all.  I've got 25+ things scanned and uploaded.  Let me know if there's any issues or something needs rescanned (dear God, I hope it all doesn't... ;))

I did mess up on some of the first scans, so there's some duplicate things uploaded.  Also, I messed up on uploading some of my first few batches.  Sorry.  I suck. :(

This one was misnamed - it's an Action Replay box for the GameCube (not DS) that I cut up and taped together to fit a GameCube game case.  It's shiny metallic and I did a horrible job cutting it up, so it really needs some work.  Below is an older Action Replay box that is neither cut up or shiny, if someone would rather work with that.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_actionreplay_nds_fulldvd.jpg
This is the DS Action Replay package, slightly adjusted to fit a GCN case.  The nice thing about having your DSAR kept in a GCN case is that you can hold the Mini-CD that's got the PC software in the GCN Disc spot and, with a minor cut, you can hold the DSAR in the GCN Memory Card slot.  As with the above case, this one is the actual package, taped together, so it might need some professional clean up. :)

Misnamed again, this is for the GameCube as well.  This is the cover, cut up and taped together to fit a GCN Case, for the Advance Game Port.  This is the crappy little thing that was made by Datel for the Game Cube that plugs into the Memory Card port on the Game Cube and lets you play Game Boy Advance titles.  It's shiny metallic too.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_electroplankton2.jpg
The US package for Electroplankton.  It's shiny metallic too, so it'll need some clean up.  The first one was a messed up scan, but it does have the cartridge label, if someone wants to snatch that out - otherwise, I guess it can just be deleted.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_ge&watchcollection_jp.jpg
The Japanese Club Nintendo exclusive Game and Watch Collection for the DS.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_kirbycanvascurse.jpg
This is something I wasn't sure about.  Although, I uploaded a lot of things I wasn't sure about.  This is the letter that Nintendo mailed out to those who registered Canvas Curse and got the free Pink Stylus.  There's a small tear around the stylus outline where the stylus was attached.  I figure, we host manuals, why not?  If it's not okay, then please feel free to delete it.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_nintendodsbrowserlite2.jpg
The Nintendo DS Web Browser (Lite Version).  As with Electroplankton, the first scan sucks, but has the cart labels.  The second scan is, I hope, better.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_nintendodsbrowseroriginal.jpg
The Nintendo DS Web Browser (Original Version).

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_nintendodsdownloadstationv1-5andnintendogsrelaylabels.jpg
This is a single scan for the cartridge labels for Volumes 1-5 of the DS Demo Station carts along with the European Nintendogs Relay Cart Label.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_puzzlequestchallangeofthewarloards_jp.jpg
The requested US Puzzle Quest cover.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_ds_tinglesballoonfightds2_jp.jpg
The Japanese Club Nintendo exclusive Tingle's Balloon Fight DS.  Again, the first scan sucks, but has the cartridge label.  The second scan is better.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_gba_gba_wirelessadapter_front.jpg
The package for the GBA Wireless Adapter.  The front has plastic attached around the edge and the back has one of those sticky alarm thinggees attached.  Dunno if someone wants to attempt to clean this up, but it was requested.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_gba_wirelessmessanger_front.jpg
This was an interesting item released by Majesco for the Game Boy Advance.  It's a messenger thingee (please ignore my angry type-o in the naming of this file).  This one needs a lot of clean up around the edges due to the package design.  I doubt anyone will want this, but I had it, why not upload it?

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_gba_wireless_link_back.jpg
http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_gba_wireless_link_front.jpg
This is a *great* idea, although the final product leaves something to be desired.  Also made by Majesco, this is a Wireless Link for the Game Boy Advance that, unlike Nintendo's Wireless Adapter, this was designed to take the place of the wired Link Cable.  For some of the more basic two-player games, it works well, but that's about it.  Doesn't work at all for the GBA download games, and if you try to get more than two players, it's a little touchy (You *can* get it, it just takes some time).  Doesn't work at all for Zelda Four Swords.  As with the above, the edges really need clean up due to the design of the package and I really doubt anyone will want this, but, again, I have it.. why not scan it?

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_gb_faceball2000_spines2.jpg
One of these was uploaded incorrectly as a DS file.  The first two scans suck, but do have the cartridge label, if someone wants to salvage that.  The last three scans are better.  I'd really love for someone to get this done. (Hint, hint)

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/UncleBob.retail.raw_gc_actionreplay_gcn_spine.jpg
The older GCN Action Replay Box I mentioned earlier.  The hole in the middle of the front scan is where the AR Memory card would normally go.  I copied my AR files onto a regular GCN Memory card some time ago (so it'd fit in the GameCube Case), so I'm not certain where my AR is right now...

I didn't know about these.  I don't have any of those Universal Media Cases (I'm going to have to order some), but it seems to me, the Hori Controller could fit comfortably in one of those.  It seems like it'd be a good way to store it.  I uploaded the scans of the Japanese Indigo Package (it was a little squished, but I tried my best) and the US Black Package.

Here's something new and useful - it's the scans of the Japanese Release of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures for the GameCube.  I scanned both the outer box that was sold with the game and the GBA link cable and the inner sleeve that went around the Game Case.  I keep my copy in a GCN Two-Disc case with both my US and my JPN version of the game, so if someone is talented enough to make a custom combo-case, that'd be neat. :)

My first in a series of three unusual SNES Uploads, the SNES Game Genie.  Dunno if this'll fit in a Universal case or not, but here's the scan.  Box is a little beat up.

My weakest in a series of three unusual SNES Uploads, the SNES Super Game Boy.  I doubt this'll fit in a Universal case, but here's the scan.

My favorite in the series of three unusual SNES Uploads... The Super Famicom Super Multi-Tap 2 from Hudson.  I love the artwork on this thing.  The box is about the same size as a regular SNES Box, so I'm guessing that, with some effort, the Multi-Tap could probably fit into a Universal case... probably have to cut all the tabs out.  I just really, really love the artwork on this.

I've been looking all over for that option and I'm not seeing it...  Anyone familiar with the generic Imaging Studio software that comes with Lexmark scanners?

Wait... I found it, but there's an issue...  Apparently this software will descreen, but it only gives that option when scanning at 300 DPI or 150 DPI.

Any ideas?

Okay, here's the main four options I've got...

The back of the FaceBall 2000 scanned in at 300 DPI with no Descreen.
The back of the FaceBall 2000 scanned in at 300 DPI with Descreen for Magazines.
The back of the FaceBall 2000 scanned in at 300 DPI with Descreen for Newspapers.
The back of the FaceBall 2000 scanned in at 600 DPI with no Descreen.

Crap.  I was going to upload these to my PhotoBucket so they could be compared, but PhotoBucket resizes them to a smaller size.  Any suggestions?  Should I just upload them to the RAWs here?

300dpi is ok for most things. Just go with that for now I guess.

Anyone know of any free software that works with most scanners that would probably be able to help me out?
