Multiplayer game lists

Does anyone know of some place that has lists for what games are multiplayer broken down by console?  Like a list of all multiplayer NES games and weather they are multiplayer alternating or simultaneously?  I ask because there has been multiple times a friend has came over and we look at my wall of games trying to figure out what to play.  Most older games either aren't marked well if they are multiplayer or not or I don't have the original box to check.  I figured if I could come up with a list of the games I have that are multiplayer (and what kind of multiplayer) that would help in picking out what to play.

Don't know of a site that has games indexed as such, but between Gamefaqs and Wikipedia, you can find that info for each game with little effort.

Yeah, didn't think about gamefaqs... Wikipedia hasn't been much help honestly.  Most entries either don't list it, list it for the arcade version of the game, or don't mention if it's multiplayer across all platforms where applicable...

Looks pretty complete. You can even sort the way you want it.

Super cool Idea having a list of the multiplayer nes games (not many sadly )     lol the list above is great but dont rely to much on it cause its missing a few. It doesnt have any of the Mario party games listed or mario kart 64 (has the other ones tho )  how are they going to leave the best one out like that

Yeah.. unfortunately it's not something easy to edit for us to continue the list. At the bottom it does say:

This is an incomplete list, which may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries.

If I'm not mistaken, those are only for current gen consoles. I tried searching for a specific system and the only thing close was "Classic" and nothing came up.
