I hate how everything is going download only, and it make me really angry when games like The last of us and Star Trek the Game dont come with a manual.

Or when games are dl, then they released a real copy. so you have to buy it again.  Duck Tales and Back to the Future come to mind.

I believe no Xbox game comes with a manual anymore. If it were to save me money, then I'd be all for it as I seriously NEVER look at a game's manual, but it doesn't, so it's annoying that they just dumped the whole concept.

All new games hold your fucking hand anyway. A manual would be 100% redundant.

The no manual  concept is step one towards switching to digital delivery.  Remove as much of the tangible product as possible, so gamers won't  be taking such a big step when it  switches.

I really feel conned when I open a box and there is no manual.  Especially in the case of vita games, as the box and media are so small.

its a catch 22 with some people. its nice for newer games missing manuals we dont have to hunt down if we buy games without a box. but on the other hand i love looking through the manuals. I mean look at the Lunar ones for the PSX

I like the ones that show the weapons, characters, and monsters of the game.  Those are always fun to look at.

I agree with this completely...it's only a matter of time before they start cutting costs somewhere else also, like some generic disc art that just has the name of the game with a single colored background or possibly also case cover art in the same way.  Unless a person chooses to make his/her own cover most people probably won't end up caring if they get the game digital since physical no longer offers any other incentive then to have a physical copy.
