New Zelda 3DS XL Bundle

My pre-order is placed
My last portable system was the Gameboy Advance (small folding edition). This will be a nice upgrade!

I'm not a fan of downloadable games though.

I have my preorder in as well, only at Best Buy.  I may switch it though if someone has a good preorder bundle/sale.  Gamestop is offering a downloadable Oracle of Seasons with the hard copy of the game, but no one at any of the stores near me know if that bonus comes with the bundle.  And as far as I can tell, no one else has offered anything like that either.  I'll gladly switch my preorder to whichever store has the best offer.  But if they're all the same, I'd rather give my money to Best Buy and keep my premium silver status - or whatever the hell they call their rewards now.

While normally I would agree, I love that Best Buy preorders.  Mostly because I hate gamestop with a passion, and my local gameshops don't get a lot of the big ticket items for preorder.  Also, since I am an avid Best Buy shopper and gamer rewards member, this ensures I get lots of points for this purchase.  Also I don't have to fight my way store to store to find one.

The question is, will this go as fast as the Windwaker special edition with the figure, or will it be like the Zelda Wii U, which I can still find in any store I go to.

I think it may go slower, it is a system and not a game. Less people would buy 2 3DS XL systems, if they already have one.

I'm still on the fence about it. I'll wait and see,
I would woy about it more, because I an bringing it around, and I'm not the biggest fan of it being almost completely gold. I'll wait for some out of box images and see.

Saw a video unboxing, "too gold" for my taste.

Never owned  a ds system of any type, I may end up just buying the default red or blue, or perhaps a Metroid themed one if that ever happens

I actually like the gold.  But I'm a die hard Zelda fan, so they could probably make it gold mixed with camo-green for all I care.  But I also think the gold looks sharp.  Not too soft like the Zelda DS lite from a few years back, and far more flashy than the disappointing windwaker gamepad.  It reminds me of the gold wii mote from Skyward Sword 2 years ago.  Now that was a damn fine peripheral. 
But like I said, I like my Zelda to be gold.  Hell, I just ordered a custom gold gamecube off ebay just so I could have a gold console to play Twilight Princess on.
I just wish Nintendo would slow the hell down with all this Zelda stuff.  The Windwaker Wii U, the Windwaker with the ganondorf figure and the Zelda 3ds XL all coming out within 2 months of each other. Then there's the hardcover guide box set coming out in December.  And the hardcover guide for Link Between Worlds...That's $725 I'm not going to see again.

While it may be a little premature since I haven't seen one in person, this looks like the finest Zelda product (console, controller, etc) that I have ever seen.  I know the gold is a lot for some people, but the black buttons, and dual triforce just make this really stand out.
