crap this makes me feel old
My feelings as well.

The NES was my second game system after the Atari 2600.

I was just shy of my 27th birthday when the NES was released.

I was -10 when it came out. (Born in '95, the year it was discontinued)

I discovered the NES around the time I got a DS Phat, and learned about it from the internet, with people like the AVGN. Played games on the unsayable e-word. I thought o getting Famiclone for a long time and finally I eventually bought one off eBay in 2009.
I've been buying a lot of it lately, and now it is the system I own the most games for, with 84 games (not including duplicates) and 3 systems (2 toasters, one toploader).

Born in '89 so I didn't truly get to enjoy the NES to its fullest extent. I remember having one a long time ago at my father's house but the only games that I remember us having were SMB 1-3, Tetris, Nobunaga's Ambition and Destiny of an Emperor. Helps my wallet today though because I don't really have the urge to collect and play too many NES games.

I was born in May of '85 and received an NES on one of my birthdays (not sure which one).

Still have that NES, and it's model number is in the really low 4M range. It now sits on my gaming shelf while I use my top loader and only ever gets touched to be cleaned and tested to ensure it still works.

I was 5 years old on that date, still living in the town of Santa Rosa, on the Tex-Mex border.

While not technically a BIRTHDAY per se, the NES was released in the US on October 18th, 1985.  Or, 28 years go today.  Sounds like a good enough reason to party to me.

I was born 3 months after! First video game I personally owned was TMNT for the NES. My mom bought it for me for my birthday. I think I was like 4 years old at that time.
