Longest consecutive NES-run?

Plainsongs:
I've been running through my megaman games for fun the last couple of days as I've been bedridden due to illness, but being an "adult" and all  I've had to pause the game for multiple hours at times to take care of "adult" stuff.  ::)

So to the question; how long is acceptable to paus the game in your house? How long would the longest acceptable play-run be?

(ps, I'm so not upping this thread because my wife is tired of me banning her from that part of the house   :P)

I had my SNES running for 5-6 days while I romped through Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts the first time when I was a kid.  Still have that very SNES.  No moving parts = WIN! ;D

So, it's not just me then. ;)
I once made a deal with my wife that consisted of me turning off the console on a Wily Stage 4, if she played it through to that point exactly with identical item count (full E-tank inventory etc), she declined and I won ;)

Haha, nice!

I was once the owner of a local video game shop. I had a display NES That was on 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. I occasionally forgot to turn it off. I owned and ran the shop for 5 years and it never broke. I know the owner whom I sold my shop to has since replaced it. However, it worked for me a very long time.
