I've heard enough good things about Dark Souls by now to put it on the 'to pickup' list. I have a couple friends that have sunk hundreds of hours into it. I heard it's hard and you have to start all over if you die.

edit: sunk not sank. say it 5x fast

it's hard, but mostly it's just different. you need to approach it completely different from a modern AAA game because there's no overworld map, questmarkers, compasses or tutorial messages (mostly) to tell you what to do or how to do it. they basically just drop you off in this branching world and don't tell you were to go, letting you make your own decisions and explore and learn and fight on your own. and dying just brings you back to the last spawn point because you're an undead in this game and dying is an integral part of the experience that you can't avoid. they don't tell you flat out about new sorts of traps or enemies either, more likely you have to see the signs beforehand and move and explore cautiously. if you have the time and patience for that sort of thing it is unparallelled. and every time you die you either learn something completely new or you're (hopefully) reminded about something in your arsenal you need to utilize to get over that hurdle. like how i kept being blocked and killed by a heavy knightguy and once i remembered i could grab my sword with both hands and just bash through his guard it became a breeze. takes some learning, but it was the most immersed i've been in a game in probably a decade.

I wanna slap you for putting lunar in 10th =P

I could easily make my favorite PS1 list 50+ games. Considering that, Lunar SSS is still pretty high.
My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace

Making a top 10, from better to worst or vice versa is difficult for me, because I am indecisive in that way. Each game I have enjoyed for different reasons, so here is a list in no particular order.

1) Resident Evil: Remake.
2) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
3) Earthbound
4) Final Fantasy VI
5) Clock Tower 3
6) Super Mario 64
7) Shenmue
8) Conker's BFD/Live and Reloaded
9) Ultima VII
10) Oddworld (Series)
My LPs Channel. Currently playing Legend of Zelda: Windwaker HD, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Resident Evil 2.

It's actually just an "OK" game in my opinion... I've beat Demon's Souls on PS3 and almost beat Dark Souls on 360 and finally just got so tired of it that I quit playing it. The multiplayer is freaking stupid on both games. It's like no matter how strong  you are, your still not strong enough. I don't mind dying a few times here and there, but when I have to level grind 30 hours just to beat a boss that's to much, I got a lot better things to do. Finally after I beat the boss, I'm so pissed off by that point I don't feel any accomplishment.

If you want a great game, look into Dragon's Dogma. Now that is a freaking awesome game.

But what do I know, you may end up loving Dark Souls.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

I am curious at which boss you were struggling on in Dark Souls and what equipment were you using? I am shocked you had so much trouble in Dark Souls, but being able to beat Demon's Souls, as I found Demon's Souls to be harder. I would offer you help as a summon but I don't own the 360 version.  :-[ I agree with you about the multiplayer, mainly on the issue of having to compensate for the lag, black magic spammers and low level invaders trying to get easy wins against beginners. Great game, but it isn't without flaws. Still a better RPG than Skyrim though in my opinion.

I can never make a list. I'm to indecisive.
I see things as
Great! Goooooood. MEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Baaaaaaaaaaaad. KILL!

I feel everything is flawed and nothing if perfect, it is just how I feel about the thing. I nitpick everything, just some things more than others.
My opinion changes depending on my mood, or how recently I played/ listened/ watched it. Ether exaggerating my love or hatred.

I guess there is an extra category for stuff that I like but not sure why because I never experienced it that much. I love Zelda, bit only beat OOT, and almost beat MM. Got mid way into WW, OOS and TP a while ago, only beat 1st boss of LTTP, 1&2. Maybe it's the hype around it.

As an example, here are my top Beatles Albums:
Some times it''s this:

Some times it's this:

Some times it's this:

I got consistent things as my favorites, and some things I have as my least favorite, and the in between.

Some things that I like, but not love, but everyone claims to be the best thing ever, like Revolver, Super Mario Bros 3 or Ocarina Of Time, I may place way lower, or at the bottom. IDK why, maybe the hype around it ruins my enjoyment of it (Like OOT), or it's just out of spite.

I may make a chart like this for some game series though, It was kinda fun.  ;D
