It's just so curious little piece of hardware that still gets occasional hacks done, and not that they are almost finished with the link cable, who knows what they come up with!!! 8)

Beings that I'm 27 I've played just about everything from Atari on up. I've played many many games to have a good opinion on this subject and I will try to explain why I like what I like.

10. Game boy. No how could this not be anywhere on anyone's list? This system held it's grounds for a loooong time. And many great games to go with that timespan.

9. PS1. This was the first console that I bought for myself at around $300 with Final Fantasy Tactics. A lot of my favorite RPG's are on this system and I won't forget all the memories I had with it.

8. Sega Dreamcast. Though there isn't a spot for it in my heart and IMO a huge lack of great games, the Dreamcast still gets on the list for one reason, you can easily burn games to play on it.

7. Sony PSP. This little system, with a custom firmware, is a great little machine. It also has a few great ports and you can also play anything from NES to PS1 on this handy dandy notebook... I many portable. Hell, you can even use it as a TV remote!

6. NGC. The GameCube is a system that's hit and miss, but there are great titles that came to this system though most are crap. But with RE 0-4 and CVX, the GBA player, the first Animal Crossing released in the states, and a few other select titles.

5. NES. This is practically the first system I ever really played. Got it for Christmas when I was 6 and is a good system to fall back on when I have nothing else I really want to play. Especially when my library of  games is 200+.

4 and 3. It was hard to chose between just one for this spot but I'm going to say the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo 3DS: because now a days I'm playing the 360 the most at home and the 3DS when I'm out and about. Both systems have many titles that could keep me entertained for hours.

2. GBA. For the simple fact that there are loads of ported games that you can play and many new great games to add to the library. So many RPGs that are great! It's hard to shake a stick at.

1. SNES. Mainly because this has the best library of games. I've wasted many hours on this system as a kid and still do to this day. Final Fantasy 2/4, 3/6, and mystic quest, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana were all great RPGs and still are great.

Anything that wasn't included just doesn't have enough stuff that I want to play on a regular basis and doesn't meet standards to me.

SnesGuy:

1. SNES
2. Genesis
3. Sega CD
4. PS1
5. GBA
6. NES
7. SMS
8. GG
9. Saturn
10. Dreamcast

Ten isn't enough =o

wiggy:

Vectrex
7800
Odyssey
Commodore 64
Gameboy (B&W only)
2600
Apple IIe
Pong
TI-80
ColecoVision

Just kidding. That's what some snotty old fart on Digipress would prolly say. "Anything post 2nd gen is crap! (Except for the DMG, but that's only because it's in B&W)"

For seriously, it's more like this.

SNES
360
PS2
PS1
Saturn
NES
Dreamcast
N64
GBA
Genesis

I can't really put all of them in a 1-10 order, but those are definitely my favs.

I enjoyed the rental days, but I've come to realize that I appreciate ownership even more. NES Complex summed it up pretty well.  click to 3:37-3:53 of the video

It's nice owning just as many good games as the rental store ever did and being able to play them whenever I like without having to worry about the dreaded return time and paying another $5 to re-rent a great game. It doesn't have to be that expensive of a hobby either if you're smart (and super patient) about it.
