Question about covers

Is the case dimension thread still accurate? In other words if i start a cover from scratch do i set up a background with these dimensions & will it print the correct size? Do i create a spine template and cut n paste accordingly? One more, can i simply cut n paste existing retail art onto my custom background? It all sounds simple but not sure. Any help is appreciated.

No, they're slightly smaller now (at least the opening for the artwork is).  Chop about 1mm from each side, but nothing vertically, and you should be good to go

Yes, it's beyond easy to cut and paste the existing art into your own template.

I think wiggy is talking about the UGC dimensions but the DVD and DS cases should be accurate
