Sorry no picture :-\

picked up a grey/baige "heavy sixer" Los gatos ATARI logo USA 2600 power supply for $1.99 at a local  thrift.
Now where is that Heavy sixer! I hate how they sell all the systems, cables, and controllers separately in different parts of the store.

From what I've read they have a high dead rate and pose a fire hazard.  Still a nice piece and kinda desirable.

Picked up at the local reseller.  His prices keep getting worse and worse but I was able to trade a bunch of crappy ps2 games that cost me nothing for 25 in trade so only had to spend $25 cash

Hey! don't knock us mom-and-pop retailers. We need to make a living. :)

BTW - $50 is a fair retail price for that game.

I have no problem with the guy making a living.

I actually really like the dude and if it weren't for him my collection would be a lot smaller.

I just checked ebay and there are a few BIN auctions for BOFIV which are in the low to mid $30's and add shipping and it would be $45 max for me to get a copy.  An auction would be even less so I respectfully disagree that $50 is a fair price.

I'd say $30-$35 would be fair and even at $40 I'd be willing to pay a small premium to support a local shop but he seems to be pricing things at 25-30% above BIN ebay price.

That said he did do me a favor by taking in a bunch of crappy PS2 games that he will have trouble selling which is why I'll keep going back.

I'm actually worried that his prices will scare the casual buyer away and he might have to close up shop which would suck royally.

I've got the same concern about a game shop in my area. Overpriced consoles and big-name items keep me away from the place although you can still find some stuff for good prices ($1.50 for Tomb Raider PS1, $8 for Mortal Kombat SNES). Plus the place doubles as an old-school arcade which is another reason I keep going back :p

Retailers aside though I got some decent pickups this month via trading.

Clive Barker's Jericho, Blazblue: Calamity Trigger, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Jade Empire Special Edition (needs a cover if anyone has it).

I picked up a SNES Gameboy Player, Sonic and Knuckles, and some basketball game for the N64 today for $0.75.

I have Jade Empire, but it's the PAL variant. Could attempt to scan it, but my parents are out of town, so I can't do it at the moment.
