Got these yesterday. Each PSP had an issue with it.
1) Power Input had a broken prong. No battery or battery door.
2) Unspecified issue with the UMD Tray. No memory stick.
3) Originally thought to be an issue with the screen. However, a new screen was put in, and it still doesn't operate correctly.
The third one, the PSP Slim, I got with the old screen, but none of them came with a charger or game, so I cannot test them to see what exactly is the issue wth 2 or 3. I did replace the power input from the first one with the power input with the second, as well as the battery and door. So now the first one should work without any problems (though I can't test it).
This is the first time I've ever tried my hands on repairing a handheld, or a video game machine of any kind. I'm eager to see if what I did for the first one worked. And once I am able to more accurately diagnose the issues with the other two, maybe you guys can help me fix them?

Not the easiest portable to repair, but totally doable. Just be careful with the ribbon cables. That seems to be the first issue that repair noobs run into. They are easy to tear :-\

Wait, doesn't that effectively make it the US version of FF2? ???

It's for the Japanese Label, Manual and Box, which he collects.
Seraph Man:
I can confirm that the repair to the first PSP was a complete success! I now have a working PSP.
The Slim seems to have an issue with the display. The screen turns on, and the audio works, but the screen remains black. I know it's not the screen, because the screen was already replaced. I'll have to open it up and see if I notice anything unusual.
As for the other PSP Fat, it now has the charge issue (since I switched the power inputs), which is a simple fix as long as I can get the part. However, it doesn't seem to read UMDs at all. The disks don't even spin. It doesn't register the UMD, and I can only guess as to why for now.

I had a similar problem with my PSP slim, every now and again the game would stop, there was a little switch on the inside of the UMD reader which detects if a disc is in or not, I just pushed it in and glued it in place, games work every time now!
Only problem now is it always thinks you have a game in, not sure how that'll affect the laser or anything in the long run...
