So I'm the owner of a bunch of game series, however some are for the famicom, which means that using them in the UGC's would result in either 1) flopping around for all eternity, or 2) foam strip tape everywhere.  :'(

Now I'm wondering how to solve this, the issue not only being the cartridge to case-ratio, but also the fact that I want my collection to look uniform. Is there a way to mod an UGC to hold two famicom cartridges, and then make it double/triple on top of that?

From what I've understood the doubling if the cases lead to wider cases, but not necessarily the room to store more games safely?

Grateful for advice! :D

I would do UGC that has foam inside with cut-outs for 2 famicom carts.
Then do cover for the said games.

In case of Mega Man I'd do 3 of these and then cartboard case to hold all 3 cases.

I make double and triple UGCs all the time. A triple with space for 2 carts in each case would be great for a series like Megaman on top of being a great space saver :)

That's somewhat what I was thinking! Hey, with you being good with the whole cover area, is there a good way to make a nice split cover, or is the whole SMB/Duck Hunt-design the closest you'll get to a decent one?

I'm thinking so, yeah! I was actually looking at my bunch of Rockman-cartridges thinking that exact thing, which inspired this thread!
I know you're like the kingpin of wacky (wavy inflatable armflailing) game cases, so I was hoping to get some input from you. ;)

Maybe some sort of front image with Mega Man in the middle and sides lined with 16 bosses from each 2 games?
In place of the "missing" 2 Mega Man 1 bosses use Protoman and Roll.
For back cover just backs of the famicom boxes of the 2 games.

For the Big box dr. Light on the front, dr.Willy on the back.
In sper fancy artistic style.

Part of the magic of your newer idea is that the covers could be designed however you like. No one has combined the games like you have (that I know of) so while we won't have any covers readily available for you, you can design them to look however you think looks best. We'll gladly give input wherever we can, so long as you request it.

I think a symbol on the front cover, at the center, with roman numerals above and below the symbol. In the case of Mega Man, something like Mega Man's helmet (or an E Tank), with I up top and II at the bottom (for the first two games). Or the logo instead of a helmet. Ultra-simplistic, maybe, but I'm sure Wiggy could take that idea and run with it. Or come up with something much better. Just throwing ideas out there.

That could actually work, I'm looking into some cover art right now, I'm thinking of maybe grabbing and vectorizing at least one element from both of the games that will be encased and play around with them and like build the art thematically, so I love your idea!

By the way, any chance you have a quick and rough description of the mounting process in this case? I'm thinking that since there's going to be two carts I REALLY don't want them flopping around in there, so I'm unsure about the regular foam strip tape-solution.

This is very much true! I like the simplistic part, and might mix your idea with Arseens regarding the Light/Wily-concept contra your simple logo concept.  ;D

I'd buy foam sheet, cut out ALL of the tabs in the UGC, then trim the foam to fit and hold the 2 fami games completely on its own.

Sorry for. The absence, moving and being sick postponed my TCP-activity!

Does anyone have the PSDs for this?

Toying around a bit with some Famicom covers

And was decided on the Famicom template? Although whatever covers I make fort he series will be custom, I want it to be uniform with the rest of my collection when put on a shelf.
Also, any vectorized a Rockman logo is welcome.

I'm actually working on a good-quality Rockman logo for one of my projects. It won't be ready to share any time soon, as I have other priorities right now, but I can send it your way in the future for you to use as you'd like.

That would be much appreciated! Excited to get this little project inside a project started properly, but no worries, no money is leaving me with a lack of UGC's anyways! :/
