Combo UGC or alternate solution?
(1/3) > >>
Plainsongs:
So I'm the owner of a bunch of game series, however some are for the famicom, which means that using them in the UGC's would result in either 1) flopping around for all eternity, or 2) foam strip tape everywhere.  :'(

Now I'm wondering how to solve this, the issue not only being the cartridge to case-ratio, but also the fact that I want my collection to look uniform. Is there a way to mod an UGC to hold two famicom cartridges, and then make it double/triple on top of that?

From what I've understood the doubling if the cases lead to wider cases, but not necessarily the room to store more games safely?

Grateful for advice! :D

I would do UGC that has foam inside with cut-outs for 2 famicom carts.
Then do cover for the said games.

In case of Mega Man I'd do 3 of these and then cartboard case to hold all 3 cases.

I make double and triple UGCs all the time. A triple with space for 2 carts in each case would be great for a series like Megaman on top of being a great space saver :)

That's somewhat what I was thinking! Hey, with you being good with the whole cover area, is there a good way to make a nice split cover, or is the whole SMB/Duck Hunt-design the closest you'll get to a decent one?

I'm thinking so, yeah! I was actually looking at my bunch of Rockman-cartridges thinking that exact thing, which inspired this thread!
I know you're like the kingpin of wacky (wavy inflatable armflailing) game cases, so I was hoping to get some input from you. ;)

Maybe some sort of front image with Mega Man in the middle and sides lined with 16 bosses from each 2 games?
In place of the "missing" 2 Mega Man 1 bosses use Protoman and Roll.
For back cover just backs of the famicom boxes of the 2 games.

For the Big box dr. Light on the front, dr.Willy on the back.
In sper fancy artistic style.
