As I mentioned. I'll start providing my source material.

For Sqoon, this was the image used for the cover. I also included a side by side screenshots to show how I cleaned it up.

For L'Empereur, I used a scan of the poster that comes with the game. Of course, it's been cleaned as it was originally folded in the box.

For the upcoming Romance of the Three Kingdoms II, I'm using this image which is the poster as well.

The scans provide by Arseen for the Blue Marlin can be found on this thread. It's not problem for me to clean up the fish and upgrade the resolution because it's a drawing but the ocean was actually a photograph. There's no way for me to upgrade the ocean for that cover.

This is why L'Empereur passed and Romance I suppose will as well. Because the images you worked with were big to begin with (poster = big). The upgrade on Squoon is substantial especially on the logo (as most of the time logos look pretty good even from bad sources after good work) but still the sib, the sharks and the water in the back is sadly not good enough. Still really good work considering the source was a tiny manual. You know high dpi is nice but still the size stays small as the art on the manual is tiny.

Thanks for the breakdown Segamer, it's pretty fascinating seeing what you had to work with. as far as I'm concerned Sqoon looks pretty darn amazing all things considered, as for the other two "L'Empereur/Romance of the Three Kingdoms II", simply put, they look perfect... though no surprise right, I mean between your cover crafting skills and the front images originating from posters, talk about killer combo!!!

@ tiktektak
You're right. Maybe one day I'll get better images and can replace the art for Sqoon, Blue Marlin and Bandit Kings.

@ LazyDane
Thank you. I appreciate the complements. It was a lot of work and I tried my best to hit that 100% retail mark with what I had.
