Matching Genesis Covers
I'm new here, but I've already started making some of my own covers. And due to my autism, ocd, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand seeing 3 different Genesis covers in a row on my shelf. So I've decided to make a lot of Genesis covers out of Shenske's Sexy Template. They may not all be 'up to snuff' just yet, but I've saved the psd files in my box account in my signature, so myself or others can go in there and work/update to their liking, etc. (A few were already perfect, like Golden Axe, I just removed different little things like the "TM" from Sega, added the cart number, etc to make them match).

Let me know what you guys think. I also have a few GB-GBA and an SNES one, but I don't think it warrants an entire thread for each.

These look pretty good but a few have already been done by others and posted to the site (off the top of my head I know Rocket Knight and the Sonics). Not trying to put you down, just trying to save you some time if you do more. Check the Genesis page first then you won't spend a bunch of time doing a game that has already been done in that style.

Oh no, a few of them definitely have, I just edited them a tiny bit, like making "GENESIS" white instead of grey, removing "TM" from the spine, etc, so they'll match pretty much 100%.

Haha that's why I'm glad I haven't gone full collector mode, needing every Genesis game, only the ~45 I've played/enjoyed. I'm currently working on the sequels and series of the ones already posted, so Streets of Rage 2+3, Golden Axe 2+3, Illusion series, etc. Should be ready sometime soon.\


Also, if anyone wants a request or something, let me know. But be warned, if it's from the black box case, I may have to do some editing/expanding of the picture like I did in Castle of Illusion (drawing in some parts of the castle), which doesn't look too good when you zoom in, but it's fine printed at the UGC size.

Is this what you mean for Altered Beast?

It really isn't that hard to do:
1) Select the Genesis logo. There are many ways to do it, I used the Rectangular Marquee and just made a bunch of small boxes that barely cover the logo but you could use the lasso and I think there is a round marquee.
2) Edit Fill (or shift + F5)
3) Select Content Aware
4) That's it. You may have to play around with it to get it just right but if you select just enough of the logo and nt too much of the background it should look pretty good.
If you want me to upload the cover I edited let me know.

Yeah, that's perfect. Fill huh? Guess I'll have to play around with that. And yeah, if you could, that'd be great, I dislike having to use that much red border on the front.
