Paint Question: Customizing a Rock Band Guitar

Just a quick question....
I got the Beatles Rockband instruments of Creg's List recently, and I only have Paul's Bass and Ringo's Drum Set. The official John and George guitars are pricy, and I only need 1 exstra.
So I was thinking of making this Stratocaster

Into George's "Rocky" guitar.



I have no experience painting plastic like this, what kind of pain would I need?

I assume you plan to do this by hand?

Yeah, I was wondering what paint would be goof for the plastic, and if some over coat was needed.
