Just starting off...need some advice!
SNESkid16:
Hi all, I'm new to the cover project and had a few questions about starting my own "cover project." I collect SNES, N64, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS games. I have searched the forums and other online options to find the most affordable and easiest way to store/case the games for the systems listed above. Here's my plan for now:
SNES and N64: Universal Game Cases
Gameboy and Gameboy Color: Modded Nintendo DS cases
Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS: DS cases w/advance slots
For the universal game cases, the cheapest I could find are on media shelving...I have roughly 70 SNES/N64 games to store and my collection is only growing so buying the set of 100 seems like the best fit for me. Does anyone know a better deal?
The DS cases I don't need nearly as much of...probably 25 max. I have found some decent deals on e-bay. I don't mind if these cases are off-brand (meaning not the official Nintendo cases). Is e-bay my best option or is there a more affordable site?
As for the gameboy/gameboy color games I YouTubed tutorals on how to case them in DS cases. I'd prefer not modding DS cases but I havent been able to find any other options. Any other ideas to case gameboy games so that I could still use the covers offered on this site?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you!

Best advice is to check the forum for info

Mediashelving is still the cheapest if you live in the US, even after their price hike. Nintendo I feel is best place to get DS cases unless you can go to local gamestop and see if they have a ton they will be throwing out.
As far as gameboy games, there are a few people that use cassette tape cases for them however there are not near as many covers currently made for them.

Wise Words madrocsz.
I don't have a SNES or N64 collection right now, so I can't speak on those, but I do actually use the cassette case idea for my own GameBoy game collection and made about 240 or so covers for them (link can be found in my signature below). Covers use less paper and you can get a ton of cassette cases for pretty cheap (plus it's easier than hunting down DS case - at least I found it to be). Only drawback would be that the cases don't fit manuals.

Madrocsz - Thank you, ill take a look at the forums for further information
Quazimoto - Those covers look great and I will definitely consider the cassete cases, Thanks for the advice

I bought DS cases here https://www.squaredealonline.com/nBrowse.asp?v=280 and was very surprised that the GBA games actually fit in the slot above (some third party cases make this too small) and check this thread for 3DS cases that hold GB/GBC without modification: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=11846.0
