PS3 Remote Compatability

This question is for PS3 experts or people who own the same PS3 as me and know the answer as a fact -- I need a solid answer. 

I own the Super Slim PS3 Crystal White 500GB Console
I almost always use it as a Blu-Ray player since I am a Mario gamer kind of guy
I hate using the PS3 controller and want to buy this official SONY remote, however if you look on the right hand side after following the link you will see a list of compatible systems.  I do not see mine there.  Will this remote work with MY PS3?  Maybe Sony hasn't gotten around to updating the website?  I need to know for sure.

Worry not, its compatible. Last one I took in I tested with a super slim. You are good to go
