What are your thoughts on the "snug fit" box protectors? Does anyone currently have them or know of the quality of them?

I use them, because some of the original boxes I have are quite worn. I do, however, play the games from time to time so it's a hassle to get them out, but still it's worth it.

I don't use them but If I got a sealed game, or a really rare game boxed I would most likely use them to protect it.

Well i have 100 UGC's and I can come up with nearly 75-80 NES to case up. By the time i print the covers and all the costs of more UGC's for the SNES, nearly 75 as well, its a little more than I want to spend, over $300 by the time all is done. Thinkin about just casing NES and doing protectors for my SNES boxes. Thanks for the info. I hope we can get that NES 100% retail project completed   :)

I can't imagine actually keeping games in those that I want to play. Why not just keep the game in a, you know, UGC? ;)

Actually the idea is to keep the games on the shelf under the protected boxes. I think it would look good.

I have a handful of original boxes for my SNES, N64 and GB series games. I use those box protectors on them, but I keep the games in UGCs. They seem pretty nice to me.

In a related note, anyone know where I could find clear box protectors for VHS tapes? I have a few I'd like to protect.

I use the ones from Video Game Box Protectors. Not only do they keep the boxes safe... the boxes that are somewhat beat up look much better in them. They also sell the cardboard trays for things like SNES, which helps a lot, too.

I think the Super Famicom ones they used to carry also fit VHS tapes, but they've gone to a new design that's supposed to be a snugger fit, so they might not work anymore.

I use them, and they're great. Really, they are.

My Paper Mario is still in mind condition because of it :)

I was thinking of picking up a few of these for my boxed NES games.  Anybody know if these are sold anywhere else besides keep em minty / videogamecases.com? I'm looking for a place that has both these and NES sleeves, that way I can save on shipping / costs of buying from 2 separate places.

you could try there, they do offer international shipping, though I'm unsure wether buying there will save you money.

Yeah I don't think the shipping would be that cost effective.
