I'd use 3DS cases, but I don't want white.

This eBay seller sells black 3DS cases. I've been using them for some of my handheld games in 3DS cases:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/50-VGBR113DSBK-Black-Nintendo-3DS-Replacement-Cases-Boxes-Game-Empty-Gamer-NEW-/161101329391?pt=US_Video_Game_Cases_Bags&hash=item25826333ef

Damn, wish I saw that before I ordered these red DS cases LOL. I'll bookmark it either way, I'm sure I can find a purpose for them somewhere. Maybe if I recase my 3DS games with the Japanese M-Rated black style labels for everything. Hmmm, ideas lol.

They also have a website https://www.squaredealonline.com/nBrowse.asp?v=280 with 2-disc Gamecube cases and other game cases. I'm not sure if there is a price difference from their ebay store so it may be worth checking there also.
Edit: Case of 50 3DS on the site is only $25 + shipping so it is definitely cheaper than their ebay store by about $10.

Im seriously thinking about doing something like this, but with a few changes. I think I'll do it by series(megaman series, megaman x series, castlevania series, ect...) instead of a single game.
I will also try to save shelf space by using psp vita cases. I just have to find out if an sd card will fit in one.

Okay, so it's been awhile. Been working at a new job and launching a web page in my spare time, BUT I do have a bit more covers done with this project. Still no SD cards, since I don't have an Everdrive yet for SNES, but I went ahead and got started moving forward.

First of all, I grabbed a few red DS cases from Nintendo's store. They were ridiculously cheap, probably like 10 bucks for 10 or something. Great deal. I'm going to raid them for about 50 at a time the next few orders I do.

I also got started on doing this for the NES. Slightly diff. template tho... still testing it all. I'll have more pix later.

Some of my Inlays may be helpful for art.  ;)

Are Virtual Console SD cards in each of them?

Nah, no VC games on them -- but that's a good idea considering I'm buying a Wii U soon (I only have the pro controller for PC use). I had no clue you could run them off SD. I'm just using these to run the ROMS off real hardware so I can put my SNES collection up -- well, my gf's SNES collection. I have no where to store them and universal game cases are bit too bulky in relation to the rest of my collection.

But right now, the cases are empty. The idea is to be able to play the same game on a SNES, a PC, and now that you mention it -- virtual console with no fuss.

Hmph, just checked the VC list on Wii U -- it's pathetic. Did the original Wii have a bigger library? Can I still buy those?

Sorry - I have called it different things, but you are correct - they are the same project

You could add extra modes all from the same microcontroller.

Also, you dont even need to use PWM - you can just turn on multiple LED colors at the same time.

if you turn RED and GREEN on you get ORANGE
if you turn RED and BLUE on you get MAGENTA
if you turn Green and Blue on you get CYAN
if you turn all three on you get WHITE
