I'm really diggin' your NES covers with just the logo on the front and artwork on the back. Ever thought of changing your SNES to something similar? Maybe black background and get rid of the legal text/barcode. I think that might look pretty good. ;D

I made a Vector version of both the Zelda 1 and 2 logos/titles if you want.  They're super clean ;)

Sorta reminds me of a book. I always thought a book cover look would be neat.

A LOT of stuff can be found via vector resources on the web, but some just need to be rebuilt by hand (which is what I had to do with those Zelda logos).

Here's a few more NES ones I just did this morning, I used the Rapoza art for the TMNT; he's got some good stuff.  For the river city ransom, i used the technos japan logo instead of the american one 'cuz i liked the way it looked better, it was the 1990 era logo and RSR was released in '89 so i figured what the heck.  these are just for me anyways!

Playing with a few different options here.  Switched the developer and NES logo placement on the spine (looking at it now I think I prefer it the previous way), added the official logo title to the spine (which I think I like more), added the official cover art to the back cover (eh...not a big fan) and placed the sprite/game shot previously on the spine to under the front logo (which I think i like).  I also included my original style for comparisons.

Goonies II - B

Upper Goonies 2 obviously is better.

Sorry to be blunt but the lower one's back is just lazy and shit. ;)

Yeah i don't like simply putting the official cover art on the back, someone asked what it would look like if I put it on there so I did.  I was using it to explain how i prefer not to do that.  As far as lazy and shit...idk about that, to each their own, but it's definitely not my preference.

Seems like the best way to come up with a good cover is to figure out what doesnt work first. I appreciate efforts being made to make good covers. Good job hoggs. Thanks for putting that together for me
