Request - Custom Gameboy Covers and Labels
Robert Martino:
Awesome can't wait to hear how they turned out ;D
SnesGuy:
Was just looking threw the thread and these look great guys.
I used to have some GBA contacts in china several years ago, wish I would have thought about Mother 3 back then.
I have several boxed copies of pokemon black floating around still, lol. None of them save though.
(that mostly seems to be a problem with pokemon games, as several other RPGs I ordered threw them had working saves)
ANYWAY, I saw you guy making labels, and don't know if anyone saw my post in the
"How to: Print and Apply a Cartridge Label" Guide, but I can't recommend the products I use enough.
They look and feel more durable than even SNES labels. Definitely higher quality than OEM genesis labels.
If you look at the thread, StoneAgeGamer tried them out and liked them as well.

Inkjet printable waterproof adhesive vinyl sheets.
(marketed for outdoor use and production labels)

Gloss laminate overlay
(after using this, the labels look very high quality/professional, also marketed for UV protection/outdoor use)

They can be purchased in smaller quantities or by the sheet on eBay.
They're a bit pricey but you can do 6 genesis labels per sheet. So about $0.60 - 0.75 per genesis label.
-Pro Tip: The backing on them is very thick and every time I tried to print, the vinyl would peel away and stick inside the printer jamming it.
I put a few pieces of scotch tape along the leading edge of the paper to stop that. Works perfectly.

Pokemon TCG2 doesn't save :( That upset me quite a bit. Not too sure how the DQ went, but the others work awesomely!

I seen them and I was definitely looking at them. But the issue is I live in Australia so they're hard to get out here. I bought some glossy label paper but the ink looked like it was super faded. I want the rich deep colours.
Robert Martino:
Did you ever finish all of the carts? Do you think I could see some pictures? ;D
JakeHC:
I've got them but the labels never worked :( But some of the games work :) Particularly Liquid Crystal and Ultraviolet.
