What are you talking about? I use the 3D feature all the time. And if you don't want it on, all you have to do is slide a switch to turn it off.

I'm going to preorder that Zelda Wuu soon.

The 2DS is unnecessary for these reasons

1) Nintendo can easily update the system software of the 3DS to allow you to turn the 3D on or off completely, and if they are worried about kids, have the 3D off by default, and if you want 3D you can turn it on with the click of a button.

2) it is not exactly portable in the sense we are accustomed to today. It does not exactly look like it'll fit in your pocket..maybe that is the intention so that you have to shell out more money for a carrying case to protect your system, as opposed to a clamshell design which protects itself relatively well. (next year, 2DS XL, it looks like an Ipad with two screens). And with the design, you have to worry about kids breaking the screens more than a hinge on a proper 3DS, which is a more expensive prospect to the consumer.

And, it's necessary for these reasons:

1) It's cheaper.

2) It plays all of the games for both 3DS and DS.

3) It's not meant for any of us, it's for our kids, cousins, nephews/nieces.

This reminds me of when the Gameboy Micro came out and nobody wanted it. Now those things are pretty collectible and if it weren't for the tiny screen I would play it over an SP any day.
Mick Dundee:
My best friend has a depth perception problem, so the 3D feature is useless to him anyway. I have the Aqua Blue 3DS and RARELY use the 3D feature.(mostly for cut scenes and just to see spots of the game)

Not to mention the cheaper price makes it something more easily obtainable.
