Gamestop selling Xenoblade Chronicles, possibly others

Retro Deckades:

So the latest scuttlebutt says that Gamestop was "recently able to source a limited number of copies" of Xenoblade Chronicles and is selling them "used" for $89.99. I say "used" because there seems to be some contention over whether or not these were unsold "new" copies of the game.

Interestingly enough, they "have sourced several more vintage titles that will be hitting stores in the coming months, including Metroid Prime Trilogy." I'm sort of interested in finding a complete copy of that game, but whether or not these copies will include everything in the original package, I'm not so sure.

Gamstop in the past did open unsold copies of games to sell them at a lower price, I was in a store one day taking to the clerk for a while when he was doing it to a bunch of crap games. Though it was to sell a $50 game for $5.

I think its kinda shit for them to be selling them for that much, but it is the market value.

Yeah, apparently that's the reason they are citing for selling it at $90.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think it sets an unsettling precedent.

its all new old stock. i picked up a box of Metroid Prime Trilogy and it felt new and still still smelt new

larryinc64:

Maybe it was lost stock found in a whorehouse somewhere.

I see the spell check mess up, but I'm going to leave it.
