Is there a master NES list somewhere on this forum? If so i can't find it. I see the list for SNES and N64 with the DONE and NOT DONE links. Is there one for NES? I am going to acquire some NES boxes for scanning and don't want to buy boxes that are not needed.

Thanks,

Tom

I am more interested in a list of games we need scans for. I can't just go by whats uploaded as many, many scans are hidden in the forums in various places.

I have a list like this myself, but I'm missing a few more that him even.  They are:

Empire Strikes Back (we have a cover but it was from a poor scan)
Godzilla
M.U.S.C.L.E. (I know someone was working on this one, did they finish it?)
Miracle Piano (doesn't have an official box so we'd need some kind of custom...anyone want to try hitting up UncleTusk over at NA and see if he'll let us use his work for a cover?)
NFL Football
RoadBlasters
RoboCop 3
Skate or Die 2
Smash TV
Space Shuttle Project (the one we have on the site has custom front artwork)
Super Dodge Ball
Three Stooges
Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego (done by a member here earlier in the NES thread but needs a clearer front artwork scan)
World Class Track Meet (the only ones we have on the site are customs)
WWF Wrestlemania Challenge
WWF Wreslemania: Steel Cage

In addition, the following ones he mentioned are available:

Blades of Steel
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=4974

Rambo:

Not the best, but should at least serve as a placeholder.  The scans were uploaded by someone and they appear to be low-res, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they were like that on the original box as well, given that it was an Acclaim game.

If you do get any good scans of the above games, I'd be more than happy to put together the covers.

I have a copy of the original Blades of Steel. I can try and put together a cover sometime soon. Maybe pumanchero can do the variant and we'll be all set for Blades of Steel!

Cheers for those!  I haven't had a chance to check the quality of them, but at least there's something.  See notes below.

look if you like the quality of the covers that wanting ..
* do not know if I got them all here on the site or web .. so to clarify .. not made or worked in any of these cases.. I hope you enjoy!

Empire Strikes Back
http://www.mediafire.com/view/msd6n584t6mn61j/Star_Wars_-_The_Empire_Strikes_Back_(U)_%5B!%5D.png

As I mentioned above, this one could definitely use a rework, since it looks like the scan came from a box that either wasn't flattened or had gotten wet or something.  Notice how the left half of the front gradients to a much darker tone - the artwork isn't actually like that.

Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego
http://www.mediafire.com/view/0lhwvtfsndtiptw/Where_in_Time_is_Carmen_Sandiego_(U)_%5B!%5D.png

Mentioned this one, too.  Good back, but it needs a clearer scan for the front.

WWF Wrestlemania Challenge
http://www.mediafire.com/view/11tub2xbs6i5qjz/WWF_WrestleMania_Challenge_(U)_%5B!%5D.png

This is the European version (note the 'A' at the bottom-right indicating PAL-A format, as well as the mention of the 'Mattel version of the Nintendo Entertainment System' which was only released in a few PAL-A countries; Italy, the UK, and Australia).

WWF Wreslemania: Steel Cage
http://www.mediafire.com/view/7j7que2k07md6ti/WWF_WrestleMania_(U)_%5B!%5D.png

That's just plain ol' Wrestlemania.  This is the one I'm referring to which doesn't yet have a cover:

Anyway, it looks like we might get a few more scans or covers from pumanchero and/or BadChad so we're on the way there!  TC, any scans you can get for games we don't have would be awesome.  Like 1980coelho I, too, would like to be able to case an entire NTSC licensed set (of course I'd have to actually ACQUIRE one first, but one thing at a time ;D ).

Ok looks like i can use this info to start my search for boxes.

Anyone have a top 10 boxes they would like scans of?

Get the cheaper ones out of the way first.  The ones I need are all boxes that are pretty much a bitch to find:

Sqoon
Tecmo Cup Soccer Game
Bandit Kings of Ancient China
Uncharted Waters
L'Empereur
Wayne's World
The Blue Marlin
Captain Planet
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (UBISoft)
Fisher Price: Firehouse Rescue
Jimmy Connor's Tennis
Mickey's Adventure in Numberland
Alex DeMeo's Race America
Romance of the 3 Kingdoms II

So as I said, getting boxes for the majority of those would cost a pretty penny (Blue Marlin might not be too bad I guess).  Therefore, I suggest for now going for quantity over rarity and getting as many of the cheaper ones off 1980's list out of the way as possible.  Two that would be great to start with would be Starship Hector and WURM, and both should be fairly inexpensive.  If I'm picking up a game that we don't have a cover for I usually try to get the box with it so I can make one, but if the cover's already made then even better. ;D
