i cant stand Greatest hits or player's choice it bugs the crap out me. i dont care how rare the game is i wont buy it

Mick Dundee:

I prefer Original Release, but I also keep my GH/Plat./Play Choice. I will take what I can get for games I don't have, but also have extras for some.

I have GH versions of FFVII, FFVIII, FFX and FFX-2. But I also have the original "Black Label" versions for all but FFX as well.

To be honest, the larger my collection grows and the older I get, my attitude towards platinum or greatest hits games mirrors this opinion more and more.

Dr.Agon:

Personally, I don't actively seek out Players Choice/Greatest Hits, however, if I'm shopping for games and I see one which I know is on My 'want' list, I'll pick it up regardless of whether its PC/GH or not, artwork/cases can easily be swapped!

Seraph Man:

Really, when I was focused on organizing my games by UPC, I hated Platinum Hits. Every other variation of greatest hits kept their old UPC. Platinum Hits adopted a new Microsoft UPC because they were re-released as a Platinum hit by Microsoft, so the games were out of order, and not even same company but later release. Any game that was PH automatically became Microsoft titles, instead of their original publishers.

Now I just hate looking at the mismatched bars on the spines. Why are PH bars so looooong? They could have made it the same length, just in grey, and the front would specify that it was a Platinum Hits game. But no. Microsoft, I guess, assumed no one would keep the box so they didn't bother lining it up.

Otherwise, Greatest Hits/Player's choice doesn't bother me in the least.
