Greatest hits/player's choice or black label?

100% Black Label! What else?
DarrienEmerald:
Personally, I'm the oddball here that goes for the Greatest Hits/Player's Choice/Platinum/whatever versions.  Chances are that if there is a bugfix or improved version, it'll all be contained on that version.  Sure, you lose some of the glitches and whatnot, but glitches aren't what I play the games for.  As for having them stick out, that's the whole point.  These are s'posed to be the top games of the system, the ones most people would put in their top lists.  So I actually like having them stand out and make a difference.
Dravenae:
I personally prefer the original releases. I like things to look as uniform as possible on my shelves, so much so that I separate my black label and platinum games when organizing them.

In theory? Sure.

In practice? Just looking at my own collection... I wouldn't consider Frogger (PS1) or Pac-Man World 2 (GCN) to be in the top lists for their respective systems, but they got the green and yellow package treatments, respectively.

@darrien: makes sense. at least for ps3/360 i'll try to find out what's changed for a rerelease. some classics/platinums do have additional contents. old example: silent hill 2 on the ps2 - ONLY the platinum version has the additional scenario from the xbox-release, making it the superior version to own, even over the old collector's edition with a video-dvd bonus.
