Injustice: Gods Among Us Fight Stick Wii U Modifications

I recently purchased Injustice: Gods Among Us for the Wii U. However, when I wen t to play the game I found that using the Gamepad and Pro controller just did not do a fighting game justice. The problem is that there is no adequate fighting stick for the Wii U. When I noticed that the game had a fighting stick for the non-Wii U version and idea popped in my head. What if the Injustice fight stick was modded to work for the Wii U as a classic controller?

I have two options:

First: Modifiy the Injustice fight stick to work with the Wii U.

Second: Buy the Tatsunoko vs Capcom fight stick, paint it black, change the buttons and joystick, and then find DC artwork for the cover.

What does everyone think of these ideas?

You wont be able to use the Tatsunoko vs Capcom fightstick as it needs a Wii Mote to run off. You may be able to use a USB adapter but i am unsure as i dont have a Wii U or a adapter

The Classic controller for the Wii works for the game. All the TvC fightstick is a glorified classic controller for the Wii. It would be a matter of tricking the game into recognizing the fightstick.

That fightstick is actually nice. However, it is too cost prohibitive for me at this point. I have made my mind up to track down the Tatsunoko vs Capcom sticks and make some DC comics art work for the cover (next topic in the request thread).

before going to look for a stick, I was going to suggest doing a full custom job, its probably the cheapest option

I managed to pick one of these Hori fight sticks new for something like $10 or $15 on clearance at one point (was a while back). Was nice for Tatsunoko VS Capcom... Was disappointed, though, that I couldn't use it for Metal Slug Anthology (because SNK foolishly didn't include Classic Controller support). Think the only other thing I've used it for is Gradius Rebirth.

Wouldn't surprise me, since it came out a year later. Only reason I can figure that the US version lacked Classic Controller support was that they rushed it out at launch. It's the only Wii game I'm aware of that supports the Gamecube controller but not the Classic Controller.

and the PAL one as well. i found a copy on ebay for cheap and when i got it still a no go
