I have a handful of CIB Genesis games, and they come with both white and gray "Genesis" spines. I just guess that when custom covers were being made it was done at the artist discretion.

I also have a bunch of Genesis Boxses and cases.

I have a template updated with all esrb and sega's ratings. I'll upload and post here when i get out of work since I have been on the same mission to fix the genesis section.
