--- Quote from: shenske on August 09, 2013, 01:30:28 AM ---I don't own and have never owned a 3DO so forgive me if this is a stupid question. What is the more common box/case type for 3DO games. Googling it I've seen a large mix of CD case size art and an odd longbox style. Are they just kind of mixed with both sizes or is that region based or something?

If i had a better idea what dimension the art is usually in i may have an idea or two to contribute to a new 3DO template.

Almost all the games came in a cardboard long cardboard box that contained a CD jewel case inside. The game information and screenshots where mostly located on the back of the Longbox not the CD case.

Most EA and ReadySoft games came in a long box acts as a case case (no cd jewel case).

JP games were only release in Jewel Case

EU games used U.S. boxes with a PEGI sticker on them

So to answer your question... LONGBOX unless it's a JP  game

I'll try to dig out what I have, though, it's not much from what I recall (I sold most of my 3DO collection over 10 years ago).  I should still have the 2 AD&D games left (Slayer and Deathkeep), Icebreaker, Way of the Warrior and a bunch of demo CDs that came in jewel cases, assuming I can find those in storage.  I at least know where my 3DO is, and my daisy chained controllers (which I always thought was a cool idea).

Here is an Idea of the blank space on the DVD covers.

3DO boxes are very tall, About the same height as two jewel cases on top of each other.
I can post some pictures soon.
