Zelda 2, not that bad

This one I could never get into. I had to force myself to play it and still to this day haven't beaten it just because of how annoyed I got with it.

Just my opinion though. Glad your enjoying it.
JDavis:
Yeah, Zelda 2 mostly got crap for being so different from the first game. I really liked it.

--- Quote from: pumanchero on August 05, 2013, 03:23:51 PM ---I got this for the 3DS thanks to the ambassadors program. The game is very very good, but -as with other virtual console releases- it has the original Japanese difficult level making the game very hard and frustrating. The NES version we got on this continent was "easier".
I've been abusing of the save state option for the 3DS with this game a lot.

That's not true. The 3DS release is the US one. See this FAQ for a list of differences between the US and JP versions.
pumanchero:
I didn't say the ROM is the Japanese one, just the difficult level, like if it was adjusted prior the release on the virtual console. I could be wrong, but it feels more difficult than the original NES release. I have the same feeling about the recent Oracle of Seasons and Ages releases...
Or maybe I'm just too old for this hobby...
kaysow:
apparently miyamoto considers zelda 2 to be one of his worst.

i had both available to play as a kid and vastly preferred zelda 2 to the original. top-down stuff was fine but kinda samey compared to all the different places you could go in zelda 2 +better soundtrack and challenge. altho, i had a to write a letter to a magazine inorder to find that hidden forest village.

Yeah those were the days before internet.
But finding answers on internet (among few other things) has let to that the kids nowadays are lacking the patience to crack puzzles.
My younger little brother tries to crack puzzles maybe 10 minutes and then iyt's off to the Gamefaqs.
My nephew has even shorter concentration span. ;D

Oh how they squirm when they watch me play something like Zelda or Final fantasy and when I refuse to use walkthrus when I 100% the games on my own. 8)
