After Beating A Game...
Aton7:
Well, I just beat Ocarina of Time for the first time (embarrassing, I know). Now I've got this nice, but empty feeling, like I'm so excited that I beat the game but so disappointed that it's over. I've got that feeling before, but not as often with games as books. It's only long, epic games with good "universes" that get me like this.
So, what are some games that made you feel like that and what about after finishing OoT?
StrangeBrownie:
After beating a game I'll put it on the game shelf for a while then if I am really bored I'll put it in and do some mop up on it. (Achievements/collectables/unlockables)
Usually I find something to fill the void of beating a game to be filled with a new one.

Any Zelda or Lego Game.
As for OoT, there is always the Master's Quest (either in 3DS OoT or the Zelda Collector's edition on GameCube) and Majora's Mask.

Man, I remember the first time I tried to beat OoT and failed when I got stuck in Water Temple. I gave up for a few months before I tried again and finally beat it. After that I played other Zelda games to fill the in the void. Same thing happened to me with Super Metroid.

I remember when I decided I wanted to go for 100% completion on Dead Rising. 2 hours represent a day in Dead Rising, so the 7day survivor achievement takes 14 hours straight to accomplish and it's worth 20 gamerscore. It really is 14 hours straight, there's no pausing and your health drains continually so you have to stay at the controller and continue making grocery runs just to stay alive.
1st attempt: I was 13.5 hours into this 14 hour achievement and... I don't know what happened. I got swarmed by a giant mob of zombies while getting shot at by Carlito or whatever his name is and all of the sudden I was just dead and it was over. I was very dismayed and got pretty upset over not making it to 14 hours.
2nd attempt: Everything was going fine until my xbox360 froze froze the screen 7 hours in.
3rd attempt: Made it 14 hours, but my 360 sounded like it was hyperventilating by the end of the session and the game's visuals started to look funny towards the end like the 360 was overheating to the point of a total meltdown or something.
Call of Duty2 on veteran was another good game that made me crazy with frustration a few times. I had a tough time with finishing that one, but I made it eventually.
