Picked up a Hauppauge HD PVR

It's a stock photo i grabbed from a site since I haven't got it in the mail yet. I got it for half the price it normally is since I bought used. It looks in great condition from the photos I've seen except it doesn't have the software CD so I'll have to download the software from the Hauppauge website.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is that?

Its a device that allows a consoles video and sound data to be transferred to the PC while playing so you can either Live stream or record your gameplay. This model supports the cables that older consoles use (I hate emulation) ^^

Just picked this up this morning! Was a little late on picking this one up but lucked out. Was about to buy one on ebay because my EB Games was sold out. Then remembered that the new EB Games that opened up at the other end of town doesn't get nearly as much traffic in comparison to the other. Sure enough, they had one left! Sweet!

Between games like this, Dragon's Crown and Odin Sphere, Vanillaware is definitely shaping up to be one of my new favorite developers!

Trip to the flea market yielded a copy of Pokemon Yellow for $5. Manage to complete my original trilogy after getting red and blue last weekend at yard sales for $2 a piece.

I also bought a new 7" tablet for use in college.

No such luck at my flea market trip.  Some lady had some N64 system/games and a NES system and games.  Only thing I asked about was Diddy Kong Racing, which she wanted $20 for.  No thanks  :P

First off, I came into work one morning last week and this was sitting on my desk...

This new guy that started heard me talking about playing NES games and said he had this lying around at home with no use for it so I could have it.  Pretty sweet deal  :D

This weekend, went to Wizard World Chicago (Comic Convention FYI) and picked up some stuff.

Got these from one of the Chicago "The Exchange" stores and People Play Games.

I thought the N64 replacement stick was a Hori style one based on the picture on the box but it was sealed so I couldn't check it... after I bought it and got it open it was just a standard N64 stick which was a bit of a disappointment but maybe I'll get some use out of it.

These I got at the convention:

got pretty good deals on everything.

Also... was able to pick this up and get it signed by "The Man" while I was there!

I had no idea that DK Controller was worth that much ... I'm pretty sure I have one lying around somewhere.  I'll have to check it out when I get home from work.

Edit: I have that exact controller ... why are they worth so much?  I'll be selling mine to get $$ for games

Picked up a couple SHMUPS at the local retro store

Got all this stuff at garage sales for about $40 total.  Some solid PS2 titles like Wild Arms V: 10th Anniversary Edition, God Hand, Dragon Quest VIII.

The PS2 Slim works fine as well.  Most of these are double and will be resold and the crappy casino and sports games all have mint cases so I'll likely swap out some of my beat up PS2 cases for these.

Also got a $50 Gift Card for EB Games for my birthday from the inlaws.

My actual Bday is tomorrow so hopefully I'll have a few more pick ups to post!

Edit:  Early Bday present to myself showed up in the mail.  Can't wait to multiplayer this sucker with a few friends this weekend! - The image refuses to show right side up even though it's right side up when I look at it in photobucket .. my apologies :)

Nice score with the Gamecube Mega Man collection.

I've got the PS2 version so I'll be getting rid of the Gamecube one ... I remember having it before and it being unplayable because they reversed the shoot and jump buttons and there was no way to change the buttons.

THISTHISTHISTHISTHISTHISTHIS1000XTHIS

The only game that is playable is Mega Man 8, due to the existence of two jump buttons and two shoot buttons, so you could just re-position your thumb and be good to go. Too bad the re-sampling of the music in that port is absolute shit.

It's a local dude at a flea market.  Not a retail chain or anything like that.
