Hello, all!
As you may have read in other threads, I've got a plan to make covers for the various Disney NES games to fit the Stone Age Gamer Bit Cases, with the stylings of the old Disney VHS cases that the Bit Cases have been frequently compared to.
However, this has proven immediately problematic.
The dimensions for a Bit Case cover are somewhat larger than a UGC cover, and I'm no fan of sizing images up. Pairing this with how almost all of the games in question have the purple Capcom border around the cover artwork, and I'd be sizing them up
quite a bit if I used existing 300 DPI images. Using other artwork crossed my mind, but even for the likes of The Little Mermaid (which, being a movie, I expected to have no trouble with) finding high res official art of any real quality has proven difficult...
So, here's my request: If anyone has the boxes (or manuals... or carts for some) for these games, if you could please scan them for me at 600 DPI
I realize there's still going to be some heavy cleanup to do on these even with the scans, and I may end up having to redraw (trace) the things to a fair amount, but I'd like some high quality images to begin with
Here's the breakdown of what I'm looking for:
TOP PRIORITY: Common Capcoms- Adventures in the Magic Kingdom
- Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
- Darkwing Duck
- DuckTales
- Mickey Mousecapade
- TaleSpin
Note: I have the cartridge for all of the above except Adventures in the Magic Kingdom (just haven't gotten around to it)
SECONDARY PRIORITY: Expensive Sequels- Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (US box scans provided, could still use cart/manual/PAL scans to fill in details)
- DuckTales 2 (US box scans provided, could still use cart/manual/PAL scans to fill in details)
Secondary only because they're hard to come by for a reasonable price, and there's less need for a cover because of it
TERTIARY PRIORITY: PAL Exclusives- Aladdin
- Beauty and the Beast
Because Amurika. Also because there's better 16-bit versions... And they aren't Capcom (well, technically neither is Mickey Mousecapade but whatever)
LOWEST PRIORITY: Hi-Tech Expressions Edutainment- Mickey's Adventures in Numberland
- Mickey's Safari in Letterland
I just really don't care about Edutainment titles.
