Neo Geo X Charging Question..

I pick up a neo geo x for $90 bucks and it seems like a ok handheld. But i have some questions about it.

1. To charge it do i need to turn the power on , on the dock or just leave it off.
2. Has anyone used a cell phone charger or similar to charge it (micro usb)

If it's micro usb then I guess every micro usb charger should work. As for the first question, just plug it in and check.
