Robert Martino:

I have been contemplating the idea of buying a PSP Go for awhile now. I Have some extra cash and I am almost convinced, I am going to buy one. I have a Psp 3000, and I love it. I want a psp go because I can travel with it, I can have it on hand through out the day, and It is small and portable. Does any one have a psp go? How is it? and Is it worth buying? I only ask this because there is so much hate towards the system :(

AxelSteelBMX:

I won't ooze hate on it, but it's a largely unnecessary system. Literally the only thing it has going for it is its size and portability. Every single other thing can be done just as well by its big brother, plus UMDs.

palmer6strings:

Exactly what he said.

But if you plan on putting custom firmware on it, you don't really need the umd's anyway since you can put your "already owned  ;)" psp games on a pro duo sd card.

Blumpkin:

If you like paying too much for games then it's great. Since it doesn't have a UMD drive you have to buy digital games from PSN.

You're much better off buying a PSP 2000 or 3000. You can find physical copies of games all over the place on the cheap. Plus you can still download those hard to find titles you might want.

Robert Martino:

@palmer6strings. Thats my plan ;D. I plan to run custom firmware. And put all my Gba,Gb/GBC,N64,Nes,SNES, and Homebrew games onto it. So I have all those on the go while I go out. Becuase my psp 3000 can be a hassle to carry around. Dont get me wrong the 3000 is defiantly better in all aspects, but it can be a pain to carry around.
