Haha, me too. Drinking the leftover beer in the Keg from the wedding I went to over the weekend. I can make you a label based on the Euro art pretry easily (i have high rez cover for it).

If I make a full US cover i'll change a few things around to deter pirates.

Shenske! Long time no see! But, it seems like you responded to the wrong Little Samson thread that's going on right now. I'm looking for the Famicom version boxart here. Know anybody with a box?

Woah, thanks for the scan, lumberjoof! It would obviously need to be retouched, but that's awesome to have a high-res version of it! If that could simply be re-colored, that would be a really solid cover right there!

Yeah. It would be GREAT if someone can provide a usable label with that artwork but full color and an English Little Samson name and end label. That's what I'm looking for. Even if someone could do a 100% authentic original NES label, well.....the original label is sh*t.

Oh man does that look good already. shenske posted an American label, but if at all possible, I'd prefer to use a label with the Japanese boxart. Not only does it look better, but there would also be no need to write on the label that it's a reproduction. That kind of thing is a pet-peeve of mine when it's obvious that it's a reproduction. I can understand if you're using the retail label exactly, but this will be far far different and you'll know at a glance that it's not the original.

So yeah, if you can clean that up and insert the Little Samson logo (even if it's not exactly the same as the original, close is all I need) that would be friggin fantastic.

Please also remove the 44 on the bottom corner there, or otherwise cover it up with a seal of quality. but even that's not needed.

I see what you mean, but it's still looking awesome so far. And the Japanese text came out fantastic! Even the smaller black text! Awesome job. I REALLY appreciate you drunkenly spearheading the entire project for us so far, man, haha!  It's really coming together thanks to you.

Now, what I've been thinking about is the case template. Are you guys real sticklers for the "Retail box" look? Because I've been using this kind template for all of my Famicom games in the past, and I really like it. Tell me what you guys think:

Yeah, no worries, that's definitely going to change to match the FF3 case I posted above it. How do you feel about that bell icon popping over the bottom stripe? Like, dislike? Wasn't sure about framing with the borders either. Let me know what all you guys think.

Haha, like I said I was just putting together a VERY rough idea of the cover.  I just wanted to visualize it, to see how the back would look all colored pink like that. Awesome progress though! I know what you mean about the original scan not being the best quality. But, as much as you've scaled it up, it really doesn't look like it will come out too bad full-size.

Only problem, like I said before, your box.net tells me that you are "out of bandwidth" when I try to download anything from it. Do you have any other cloud services that you could upload the PSD file onto? Or you could email it to me? (The little email icon to the left, under my name, will get the file to me.)
