I have a related topic to this thread. I'm looking for a custom label for a Little Samson NES repro.

Since the Japanese boxart is completely different (and better) than the western art, I'm wondering if someone might be able to clean up the Japanese art, crop it a bit, and insert a clean Little Samson logo in its stead.

The thread I started is here:

This is for personal use and I have no intention of ever selling the label for forgeries on ebay or whatever. If you prefer, privately send it. satoshimatrix@hotmail.com.

Haha, it's cool man. I don't think anybody's worried about you passing off a forgery with a custom label.   :P  I definitely have to agree that the Japanese art is way more attractive than the US version. (Yet another reason why I didn't mind buying the Famicom version instead of the NES version.)

Anyway, if we're able to get a full Famicom box together in this thread, I'm sure I could get my hands on the .psd file for the project, and adapting it to the NES template would be fairly simple. Maybe I could even get my hands on the Photoshop files from whoever made the US Little Samson cover and pull stuff like the title off of it. I wouldn't mind taking care of that at all, if all goes well here. (EDIT: Although, removing that giant "LICKLE" from the Famicom art is going to take some major finesse.)

The problem is just getting that high-quality Famicom cover picture...

I reckon removing the lickle from the famicom art wouldn't be too bad.  Although I am quite drunk. Lol

Well dang, dude, now that's just dumping the whole project onto you!  :D Haha!

I mean, I could see how recreating the sky and clouds, and removing that Taito business at the bottom frame, would maaayyyybe not be too bad, but I certainly wouldn't trust my own skills at trying to recreate the covered tips of those other background objects. Granted, they're not that big, but making something from nothing is beyond my artistic capacity, haha.

Larryinc64 are you able and willing to scale/redraw that background art?

EDIT: Once we have all of those elements upscaled to high-res, I would have everything needed to even put together a sticker for the Famicom cart label!

EDIT 2: Also, Sheep your box.net has "run out of bandwidth" so I can't get that .psd from it. Any other methods?

Haha, me too. Drinking the leftover beer in the Keg from the wedding I went to over the weekend. I can make you a label based on the Euro art pretry easily (i have high rez cover for it).

If I make a full US cover i'll change a few things around to deter pirates.
