There are a few on the site, Mario 64 has one
Arseen and TSOLfan have huge amounts scanned in a box.net or SITE somewhere. I also got a lot of manuals I should probably scan.

I have quite a few manuals for Super famicom, Sega Saturn JPN and the Dreamcast JPN. What DPI are the manuals scanned at normally?

But enough high quality manuals pop up, you never know.

Take out the staples and scan as flat as possible.

Yes, and:

- @ 600 DPI
- Moire removal on.
- As straight as possible.
- When sharing zip them as losslessly as possible so they downloaded as one file.

It can also be called descreen or derasterize.

If non of those are found scan anyway, the cleaning is just bit more worksome.
