No one's saying you can't make or share covers here in the forums. Just like no one ever told me, segamer, mel or anyone else that. But those that make it to the main page of the site proper are going to be way more stringently policed than what's available in the forums. Of course, the idea of sharing them in the forums is two-fold: both to give people alternatives, and to get feedback to improve our covers' quality. I dunno; am I misinterpreting what you've said? It's altogether possible. --- End quote --- Yeah, I have have no problem with posting my covers in the forums... my only issue is that after receiving many downloads on MediaFire I feel these covers would benefit being on the site more than sitting on MediaFire. I am told that the covers I upload are not of good quality but they are still being downloaded by many people... They may look bad in really close inspection but when they are printed out they exhibit no more flaws that any of the covers that are already hosted and printed. This is the reason I mentioned that unless someone is going to start working on a better version of any of the covers I made then it's not really going to ever be on the site unfortunately. My frustration is also because we are told about the strict quality control... but look at the last 2 covers of mine that were accepted... http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=12508 http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=12505 Anyone see the obvious flaws on both of these (other than my "blurry source material")? and these were accepted and uploaded... I have since fixed the errors and posted them back on mediafire, making the versions I have already superior. (my theories on why these covers were even accepted is a whole different gripe I don't even want to think about.) I guess this also leads into the complaint a lot of others are making.... if there is no way to update the current covers with fixed versions then there needs to be some sort of change... I've been using the site since 2007 and still feel like a new member any time I upload or post anything here but I am here to work on covers and try not to get involved in any of the forum drama... |

A more thorough explanation of the flaws would help in getting these updated... Thanks Arseen... I'll be real and say that you have been the most active with helping the community. I feel your promotion was well deserved.
