Cover Quality Discussion
AxelSteelBMX:
Is this a thing we should do from now on? Just have a thread where we post links to our covers, for the express purpose of having them analyzed and criticized by others? Would this make things easier?

Is there anything I should change on these? http://www.mediafire.com/#hkwajles33sld
I've tried uploading these many years ago but never got any feedback...
Azarkhel:
Leave that Mario Preschool cover, I'll look at it tonight after work.

As a non cover making member I'd like to weigh in to give you guys a differnt perspective.
When casing my collection I've had a varied experience with each cover. Popular games will have many options to choose from, where as some games don't even have so much as a raw scan uploaded yet. If a cover is hosted by TCP it certainly makes casing easy, but that doesn't mean that it won't get replaced by a custom that I find in the forums.
When I have a game that doesn't yet have a cover I could care less whether the whipped up cover has passed TCP quality control or not. Some of the tiny details that I see some of you guys mentioning aren't even noticable after printing. I'm just glad that someone took the time to create a passible cover so that I could shelf a game.
Seriously, some of the "defects" you guys point out don't matter a damn to me. Besides, I don't think that perfection can ever be reached on a cover as each member has their own tastes.
But to bring it to a close, TCP is an awesome community. I'm a little saddened that some artist might feel that their work isn't apprecieated because it's not hosted by the site. All you guys do a fantastic job at making my collection look awesome, and I'm thankfull for the work and dedication that each of you guys puts into making covers.
