That Wii is such a sadness to me. Glad my launch model still works.

My launch unit is still going strong too!  Nintendo systems always seem so robust.

It's a total box of fail, for sure. But I just had to have one. I try to pick up every Nintendo console ;)

Even minor system variations? Hot damn, you're far more hardcore than I. Haha, cheers to 'ya.

Well it's a pretty significant change.  I don't have a non-GCN compatible Wii (though I'll eventually get one when they're like 25 bucks), but this thing has a completely different casing, which makes it stand out, not to mention that it isn't available in the US ;)

I guess that's true. The damn thing is stripped down so much it's very nearly naked, at least as far as its features go. "Do you only want to play disc-based games and never download DLC or Virtual Console games at all? Then we've got just the thing for you!"

I actually watched a video unboxing of the Wii Mini yesterday. I really love the top-loading aspect of the system, but that's about it.

There are still FOUR pages of channels, even though the only ones that will ever be used are the first one.
