Also depends on the sellers idea of what "good" and "Like New" is.  One idiot had the game and case with no manual under Like New. Always check the pictures.

Been a rather uneventful week, but did get this. Couldn't go to the flea market last sunday as I got stuck working my first sunday in a while. I did pick this up on ebay for about $10. Still filling a few holes in my Genesis collection.

No body here in my country makes garage sales, it would be great if people sell their stuff that way here and at that price.

Nice pick up, excellent price  ;)

Super nice score for $15. You could make money off that and still keep some of it.

I got a PC engine that was given to me because it did not work. They gave me an AC Adapter, a controller, an AV booste,  and two games. I plugged the mini-beast in, and nothing...so I opened it up and noticed the fuse was gone, and the Voltage Regulator was gone, did some quick research on what VR it needed, and grabbed one out of a broken SNES I had laying around. Free PC Engine, with 2 games, one of which I can not play as it is an RPG and I do not speak Japanese.

The person told me it was modded to play TG-16 games, so I have one on the way...a cheap game (Keith Courage) to see if it's true.

Upon re-opening the unit, I see no evidence of a mod, so it's a vanilla PC Engine.

I have been scoffing at the notion of strategy guides for a while because there is no point with all of that info on the internet. But, I have been seeing some recently for pretty cheap and might have to buy some just for collecting sake. I think your pic just confirmed it for me, now I have to start collecting them.

I used to think that too. But yes, these were cheap. About $5-7 each. And the Metroid Prime 3 one has extra stuff like a poster in it that are cool.

But I will use them. I've found in playing games that I need a guide for, it's a hassle to be using my laptop and constantly searching for what I'm looking for.  With the book being tangible and a complete guide, it's all right there literally at my fingertips.  Easier to handle while actually playing the game.  And, again, they look cool (the MP3 one especially)!

I loves me some strategy guides. I almost have a complete set of the guides published by Nintendo (like your Goldeneye, MP and MP 2 guides). When they ceased publishing and Prima (MP) became the official publisher, I made the money-smart decision to stop collecting them.

That being said, I did order me one of these, because it is so damn cool:

Been away for too long. Have tons of other pickups this month, but I'll just post this for now.  Damn thing looks and feels like a cheap Chinese clone console, but it's still a cool addition to my collection of useless consoles alongside the Satellaview :P
