I would like it, and I posted that before i found out PS4 and Xone did not have it, so maybe there is more hope. |

--- Quote from: ChaosCat on June 26, 2013, 06:03:11 PM ---I mean no matter what country you buy A Nintendo licensed Game from from, Nintendo still gets there cut of the pie! not to mention alot of people import games, and when they come out in there own country many tend to buy it again!! XD Not to mention it would make the process of porting games alot easier with out them having to change the region coding, dont ya think --- End quote --- That's a little over simplified. The issue is for games that have global release. If say Nintendo Europe spend 5 million promoting a new Mario game in France, but I find it cheaper online from the US. Nintendo are still getting my money, yes, but not the division who's budget went into promoting it. If enough people do the same thing, the marketing budgets get cut, offices close, people lose jobs. Essentially the different regions of Nintendo are like different companies, bound by different budgets, different operating standards, etc. That's not to say I don't want region free, I do, just trying to shed a little light on why they region lock in the first place. |
