The Walking Dead - The Books

Dravenae:

Hey guys, I'm a pretty big fan of The Walking Dead, both the Comics, TV Series, and Tell Tales game. Lately I've been thinking about investing in the novels, The Rise of the Governor, and The Road to Woodbury. I'm just wondering has anyone read these books and if so, would you recommend them? I'd love to see the full story, but for 200 - 300 pages later and a tenner less in my pocket, is it really worth reading the books?

shenske:

Simply put, both awesome. Worth it  :)

madrocsz:

Been wanting to check them out too. Hrm

BadChad:

A friend of mine (who's not even a book reader, just a big walking dead fan) picked up The Rise of the Governor and said he really enjoyed it!

Dravenae:

Cool! Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear that there both decent. I'm not much of a reader and went out on a whim when I bought the first compendium. I just loved The Walking Dead so much, I said it was worth trying out the comic. I'm at issue 109 at the moment (don't spoil anything please!), and since the next trade paper back won't be out for another 4 or 5 months, roughly, I thought I'd try the books between now and then.

Thanks guys! I'll probably pick them up during the week. :)

EDIT : Actually guys, I have another question relating to the comics. You guys know of anywhere that I can keep up to date with new comic, trade paper backs, and novel releases for The Walking Dead?
