Laptop Suggestions?

Portability, because I'm going to collage in a few years, I'm currently entering my senior year of High School.
I do not want to lug a huge computer around, along with monitors, and whatever crap I need.
Also because of the Tablet Monitor, tablet monitors for Desktops are expensive, might as well just buy the laptop. I'm working on some comic and cartoon series and I need a tablet, I have a Wacom that does not have a monitor on it, and I's a bit of a pain to use.
I'm mostly keeping this laptop at home, there is no way in hell I'm bringing a almost $2000 to my High School, That would get stolen, broken, or some combination of both. But maneuverability around the house, and on long trips would be nice.
I may build a beefy gaming PC soon if I have the money.
