| Best Way to Experience Ocarina of Time for a First Playthrough |

Just finished my annual Spring play through of a Link to the Past. I'm thinking of playing the rest of the Zelda's and want to start with Ocarina of Time. I'm wondering what the best route would be for a first play through. I have the following options available to me right now: 1. - Play original cart on an N64 2. - Play on Wii with Gamecube Zelda Collection - I have a Wavebird wireless controller as well 3. - Install the VC version on my Wii Other option would be to go buy a 3DS XL (I've wanted one for a while now) and get a copy of the remake Just want to know what others who may have played multiple versions think the pros and cons of each are. |

You really can't go wrong with any of those choices. If you really want a 3DS, the remake looks awesome but you have to hold the system in just the right location for many, many hours. I personally like to play it on my Wii w/ a wavebird just because my Wii is hooked up to my HD TV with component cables and I like the Cube controller better than N64. I guess it just depends on your setup and controller preference as the content in each is basically the same. |

personally id do n64 or wavebird options, the analog stick really helps on some boss battles. Yes, I know the 3ds has one but I hardly call that one lol |

Thanks guys, I may just go the Gamecube disc over the Wii route seeing as it's hooked up with component cables and I can use a wireless controller. I also dislike the N64 controller with a passion so hopefully the mapped the controls to the GC controller well. Also the N64 looks horrid on my 52 inch TV as I don't have an S-video cable for it. |

The GameCube version of the game is just fine if that's the route you intend to go, plus it has the Master Quest available if that's interesting to you. Hope you enjoy. |
