Gotta say I'm a bit excited, kinda makes me wonder if they'll have Megaman X, protoman or bass as unlockable characters...maybe even zero?

They usually do a counterpart to each character. I guess we cant guarantee that will happen here but my guess would be on Protoman or Bass. And since it seems like Mega Man is based on the NES universe (which I'm totally happy about) its more likely to see Protoman, but who knows...

With snake and sonic only having one character, he will probably be alone, with a assist trophy or two.
They will probably have a Protoman palate or something.

I see Proto Man as an assist trophy, where he just dashes forward, shield-bashing people in his way, ala Power Battle/Fighters.

But what I've seen is more than enough. I'm overjoyed.
