Will it play my PS1 games? and I don't think it is... so I'm not buying it. :'( --- End quote --- No it is not. But If I understood correctly nearly all PS1, PS2 and PS3 games are or will eventually be playable from cloud server. Hopefully with monthly fee allowing unlimited access. --- End quote --- I expect we'll have to buy the game a second time to have it on our profile - similar to what Steam offers. |

I don't see the point of having a PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 all wired up in my game room to play whenever wished. I want to stay updated and buy a PS4 to play new released games, don't get me wrong, it's just annoying to see new generation models not supporting their predecessors. I didn't even mention Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One either ... For now, my first PS3 Model CECHE01 does the job - for most games. |

Making the PS4 backwards compatible with previous versions would only increase the cost of the system. Even at $400 Sony is losing money with each unit sold. If you're going to let the lack of backwards compatibility prevent you from playing next gen games, good luck to you. |

PS3 and PS4 hardware are only improvements, barely any changes. |
